Dairy farmers invited to dress up for ball
DAIRY farmers are being invited to don their finest attire for WestVic Dairy’s annual Dairy Farmer’s Ball this month.
The black-tie event will be held at the Warrnambool City Golf Club from 6.45pm on Saturday, November 30, with bookings now open for early bird tickets.
WestVic Dairy Young Dairy Network leader Max Bond said he was excited for the event’s return, which promises to be just as successful as the previous year’s event.
“Last year it was such a great night out for the dairy industry,” he said.
“The event was so much fun, and it was a fantastic opportunity to raise money for a worthy cause.
“We are so excited to bring it back for a second time.”
At the heart of this event is the charity raffle, with all proceeds this year to be donated to the Neil Porter Legacy Foundation.
The foundation champions career education with a local focus on south west Victoria, and highlights the significance of all careers, including dairy and agriculture more broadly.
Tickets for the charity raffle will be $10 each.
Adding an extra layer of excitement and anticipation is the raffle prize, courtesy of exclusive sponsor Lely Australia.
One lucky winner will embark on a dream trip to the Netherlands, complete with return airfares to Amsterdam, a week’s accommodation and an amazing itinerary that includes farm visits and a behind the scenes tour of Lely Headquarters.
The winner will have the option to extend their European adventure at their own expense if they wish, with a flexible return date.
Mr Bond said WestVic Dairy was “grateful” to Lely Australia for providing the raffle prize.
“Their contribution aids a fantastic charity and offers a local from the dairy sector, a chance to have an amazing experience learning and seeing what farming and life is like in the Netherlands,” he said.
“The Young Dairy Network Leadership Team likes to support organisations who uplift our dairy community.
“We want to inspire young people to see the fulfilling and fun opportunities a career in the dairy industry can offer.”
To top it all off, attendees can look forward to a night of great food and entertainment.
Each event ticket includes a welcome drink, one raffle ticket, and music from renowned cover band, Good Faces for Radio.
Initiated by the WestVic Dairy Young Dairy Network Leadership team who are passionate about all things dairy, this event is a celebration of the dairy industry and its community.
Tickets are available online at westvicdairy.com.au or https://shorturl.at/XkIz0.
Early bird ticket sales close Sunday, November 10 at a discounted price of $75 per person.
General admission ticket sales close Monday, November 25, and are $85 per person.
