Rainfall increases on previous year
OCTOBER saw the region receive more rainfall than the previous year, but a lower-than-average rainfall.

Camperdown experienced 62mm of rainfall for the month of October.
The figure is higher than the previous year’s total of 59.3mm for the same time period but falls below the monthly average of 69mm.
Camperdown’s highest daily rainfall was recorded on October 18, with 16mm hitting the ground in 24 hours.
The total rainfall for Camperdown in 2024 currently sits at 463.5mm
Meanwhile, Derrinallum received 100.8mm of rainfall for the month of October.
The figure is higher than last year’s total of 60.6mm of rainfall through October last year.
Derrinallum’s rainfall for October 2024 is
also higher than the long-term monthly average of 66.3mm.
October 19 saw Derrinallum’s highest daily rainfall, with 36.6mm recorded in a 24-hour period.
To date, Derrinallum’s total rainfall for 2024 sits at 399mm.
Lismore experienced 62.8mm of rainfall throughout October this year.
The figure is higher than last year’s October rainfall total of 51.8mm.
However, the figure is slightly below the long-term monthly average of 63.5mm in October.
The highest daily rainfall recorded in Lismore was 20.2mm, which fell on October 19
Lismore’s total rainfall for 2024 currently sits at 348.9mm.
