Three-person ambrose at Timboon

GOLFERS enjoyed a three-person ambrose event on grand final eve at the Timboon course.

The winners with a nett score of 59.333 were C. Noonan (12), G. Norton (11) and C. Watson.

Second place went to D. Smith (6), R. Berger (13) and R. Stone (15) on nett 60.333.

Nearest the pins: 5th D. Smith, 7th J. Rowe, 10th C. Costin and 14th C. Noonan.

Members played a stroke round for monthly medals last Saturday.

The A grade monthly medal winner was Matt Walker with nett 70, followed on countback by Cody Noonan, also with 70.

B grade went to Gavin Rundle with nett 75, while Gordon Broderick was second with 78.

Donna Weller had the best ladies’ score with nett 72.

Nearest the pins: 5th Alistair Gillin, 7th Cody Noonan, 10th Judy Walsh and 14th Steve Plozza.

The Nutrien ball on the 11th was won by Alistair Gillin.

This Saturday, October 5, will be stroke for the Bill Neal Memorial Day and Nutrien Harcourt tournament.

Bookatee will no longer be used for Saturday competition.

It will only be used for green fee players and for tournaments if needed.

On Thursday the 12-hole Railway View Hotel chicken day was won in a phantom draw by Mick Plozza and Gordon Broderick with 51 points.
